seouljah Posted July 14, 2009 Report Posted July 14, 2009 PRICELINECouldn't be more disappointed and ticked off right now.Should've taken it as a sign of an impossible date, started the bidding at 36 or 37 and nothing til $53--in the future I think I'll stop my bidding at 50, hopefully that will keep me from getting this hotel ever again. I kept going because I figured it'd definitely give me Doubletree Southcenter IF NOT then at least Courtyard marriott...heck, I'd have even taken Holiday Inn Renton. But it spat out H.I. KENT? KENT? REALLY? That's a 1st. An UNWELCOME one at that. This is much farther south than I wanted to stay, let alone, doesn't have much to offer to make it worth staying. Indoor pool and I would not have any complaints right now, but of course it's outdoor. Thinking about calling them to see how much they want from me to upgrade to a jacuzzi room, if avail.I do see that at least this H.I. gives a complimentary breakfast whereas Renton does not, but big whoop, I am tired of the same hot breakfast buffets. Always eggs, sausage, bacon, waffle. Over and over and over.Anyway, oh well, chalk it up to experience.
seouljah Posted July 14, 2009 Author Report Posted July 14, 2009 If I purchased the $5 insurance, would I have been able to 100% refund this??
AaronJB Posted July 14, 2009 Report Posted July 14, 2009 Sorry to hear that you were disappointed with the results and the location of the hotel. :) The insurance doesn't work for if you're unhappy with the bidding purchase. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Enjoy your stay.
inspiration100 Posted July 14, 2009 Report Posted July 14, 2009 I too am sorry to hear you are unhappy. I agree that Kent is one of the worst areas to win a hotel in Washington. Why do I say that? I live in Kent and it is one of the roughest areas as well as the fact that Kent has a major problem with street racing so sometimes that makes it an issue to get sleep. I would suggest not bidding in the Renton/Kent zone next time to avoid this area. I always suggest this to people who ask me. I bid usually in 3.5 or 4 stars in downtown Seattle and am very happy with my results doing so.Anyways, make the most of your trip my friend. The Seattle hotel guy.... Stayed in 14 hotels downtown and counting! Favorite Hotel Downtown: The Camlin Seattle (It's now a timeshare)
