gtraveler Posted July 12, 2009 Report Posted July 12, 2009 4* MTCNo smokefitnessrestaurantbusinessinternet$179 for 3 adults, one child 8/7/09 - 8/10(by the way, I got the links to HOTWIRE to work! - don't know how though, just started to work....)
thereuare Posted July 12, 2009 Report Posted July 12, 2009 Looks to me like the Sheraton New York has been upgraded back to a 4* property.Did you ultimately end up booking the Sheraton for the other 6 nites of your stay as discussed in your other Hotwire New York thread? Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
gtraveler Posted July 12, 2009 Author Report Posted July 12, 2009 Yes, I did book the sheraton for the other 6 nights. That was a great find.other hotels that shows up are:3* Downtown - SoHoRestaurantbusinessinternet$137 - any idea on this one?or:3* chelsea - madison square gardenbreakfastfitnessbusinessinternet$159 (Holiday Inn Express??)
AaronJB Posted July 12, 2009 Report Posted July 12, 2009 Please post in the other thread that you booked the Sheraton so that thread has a conclusion. Thanks.
thereuare Posted July 13, 2009 Report Posted July 13, 2009 The Downtown property has not yet been identified, i'd also guess the Chelsea-MSG is likely the Holiday Inn Express.But... what is it that you're looking for from this stay, as i think there are better options (either higher rated for similar price or lower rated and better value)Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. gtraveler Posted July 13, 2009 Author Report Posted July 13, 2009 Just want to be in the city, decent neighborhood, near to public transportation. I generally like having breakfast included - saves a lot of time in the morning - but not required. I prefer to stay around 150 a night.
thereuare Posted July 13, 2009 Report Posted July 13, 2009 Perhaps i was only searching for double occupancy last nite as i don't seem to see as many offerings this morning, iirc. However, a 3* in the MTC also appears for $129/nite with Restaurant, Pool, Fitness, Internet which i'm guess is the Holiday Inn Midtown. Not sure of your plans, but this property has a pool as well as being close to Central Park, both of which might be good for the child in your group (or the adults that act like children :) )Location-wise, this and the Chilsea MSG property would be better than the Downtown offering. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Let us know what you decide and how it goes or if we can be of further help.
