Hotwire Hotel: help with id of 3 San Juan hotels

I am looking for a hotel in San Juan for the night of December 4-5. There are three that show available, but I have no clue what any of them might be. Any assistance would be appreciated. Here is the information:

3 1/2 Star

Near Beach, Restaurant(s), Pool(s), Fitness Center

3 Star

Beachfront, Restaurant(s), Pool(s), Business Center

2 1/2 Star

Near Beach, Restaurant(s), Complimentary Breakfast, Business Center

I'm not getting similar hotels on my search... are you searching for more than one room or more than the default of 2 adults in a room?

Are you still seeing these properties on a search? (and the amenities listed are the complete list of what Hotwire shows?)

I just double-checked on Hotwire. I am only searching with the default of 1 room and 2 adults. The only area I have checked is San Juan. Those are the complete list of amenities. I'm totally stumped. What did you find when you searched?

I believe the 3* hotel to be the San Juan Beach Hotel and the reviews don't seem very flattering.

I wouldn't expect the reviews of the 2.5* to be much better... i have posted many times on the board about San Juan not being a good hotel market when it comes to value relative to money spent. Prices are frequently high and the service is typical 'island time' (read: service is lackluster)

Do you have a back-up hotel yet? What is the most you are willing to spend?

We ended up staying at the Hampton Inn and Suites. We weren't comfortable with the Hotwire hotels that were available at our time of booking.
