We are flying in. This appears to be good location. Any recommendations on getting a good room at the Hyatt? Any other thoughts on the Hyatt? Thanks.
thereuare Posted July 10, 2009 Report Posted July 10, 2009 Welcome to BetterBidding!Congratulations on your success! The location of the Hyatt is good, and while i don't have any firsthand experience with this property or can make room recommendations, i believe it's probably more of a business oriented hotel so expect more 'mass functionality' than 'personalized service'.One suggestion i do have for Chicago though is if you intended to go to the top of the Sears Tower or John Hancock Building, skip the observation deck of either and go to the Signature Room for lunch at the Hancock Building... if you order 'right' (ie- burgers, sandwiches, etc) it will cost just a little more than going to the observation deck but you'll have a relaxing lunch in a beautiful setting. An alternate option is having drinks at the bar where i think it's just a one drink minimum; either is a cheaper, and more enjoyable, imo, way to see the view from above.Thank you for sharing your win with the board and using our PRICELINE link to begin your bidding.Enjoy your stay. gremdrvr Posted July 10, 2009 Report Posted July 10, 2009 Stayed there once before. Hotel is one of the largest in the city. Mainly business-oriented. Most of the rooms are the same, except for the views. Two towers--east and west. I've stayed in the west tower and am not sure if the rooms in the east are any different.Great price!
