Big Lew Posted July 10, 2009 Report Posted July 10, 2009 I'm trying to book two rooms in a 4 star hotel in the North Michigan Ave. area for mid-September. My bid for $89 was rejected by PRICELINE. From reading some other posts, I thought this was a reasonable bid. Any suggestions? Since we aren't leaving for a couple of months, I'm not necessarily in a hurry. Thanks for your help!

Big Lew Posted July 11, 2009 Author Report Posted July 11, 2009 Our actual travel dates are Wed. Sept. 16 through Sat. Sept. 19. Thanks for your help!
AaronJB Posted July 11, 2009 Report Posted July 11, 2009 Based on the rates I'm seeing, I don't think you're that far off at all - I wouldn't try bidding much higher at this point. What is your max budget per night?

thereuare Posted July 11, 2009 Report Posted July 11, 2009 Did you want to go up to $100 at this point in time to "get this done" or do you want to stick with your curernt $89/nite bidding? Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. Big Lew Posted July 15, 2009 Author Report Posted July 15, 2009 I'd rather not go up to $100 unless I have to. Since I have a couple of months before we travel, I don't mind continuing to try to get a better price. Any bidding suggestions would be appreciated.
Big Lew Posted July 15, 2009 Author Report Posted July 15, 2009 I decided to expand my search to include the Millenium Park....area, and got a room at the Hyatt Regency Chicago for $75 per night. And I booked through the PRICELINE link on this website. Thanks for the help!
