shorty98nl Posted July 9, 2009 Report Posted July 9, 2009 Hello all, I have never used PRICELINE before, but I have been reading around this very helpful forum and want to try it out!I am planning to go to Chicago w/ my bf from 7/31-8/2. We would like to stay in a 3.5-4* place in the North Michigan Ave Area. I *think* I understand the whole rebidding process based on the posts I have found here, but wanted to check for advice on what kind of price range would be realistic. Some specific questions I have before I give this a go:Is $65-$75 possible? If not, what is a more realistic range? In terms of strategy, what bid should I start at? By what increments should I increase my bid? If I fail and have to try again in a few days, should I start that bid at my original price or something higher?Should I start searching for 4* and then use all possible free rebids, then close my browser and start all over again with 3.5*...? I think that is the strategy that people seem to use, but wanted to make sure I understood properly. That seems like enough questions for one post =). Any advice out there would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!
