I've been trying to get a 4* in downtown Seattle for 5 nights (from Aug 12 - Aug 17). I bid from $65 to $82 with no success.

After checking HOTWIRE, what appears to be the Westin (based on Travelocity info) is available for $109 nightly. I'm going to wait and try PRICELINE again tomorrow before securing a room through HOTWIRE. Will update on results then.

After an unsuccessful attempt to get a sub $100 room for 5 nights on PRICELINE, I began tracking the 4* downtown hotel option available on HOTWIRE.

Based on the tripadvisor ranking of 3.5 out of 5, and listed amenities of Fitness Center, Pool, Restaurant, Business Center and High-speed Internet, I felt confident I would get the Westin (which I preferred over the Sheraton). Price started mid-morning at $110 but fell to $102 by late afternoon.

Final Stats:

Rate: $102.00

Subtotal for 5 Nights: $510.00

Taxes and Fees: $81.76

Total price: $591.76

Used the HOTWIRE link as requested. Was very pleased with all of the information I was able to get from here before bidding/buying!
