bnyc Posted July 9, 2009 Report Posted July 9, 2009 looking for a room cps or mte -- pref cps. but want to avoid 6 columbus. Its not under the list of cps on this site but its address falls under the CPS zone. Also what should i start bdding at? will use the PRICELINE link.
AaronJB Posted July 9, 2009 Report Posted July 9, 2009 Welcome to the site. There is no way of avoiding a particular hotel on PRICELINE in a zone you're bidding on, whether 6 Columbus or otherwise. What would be your budget per night? Please use the site's PRICELINE or HOTWIRE links to start your purchase.
bnyc Posted July 9, 2009 Author Report Posted July 9, 2009 I can bid up to 155.if the 6 columbus hotel is in cps - i just will bid in mte-- what do you think
AaronJB Posted July 9, 2009 Report Posted July 9, 2009 6 Columbus would also appear to me (looking at the PRICELINE map) to be within CPS.In terms of MTE, based on rates, $125 would be a good starting point for 4* bidding in this zone on these dates. While in a different zone, HOTWIRE does have a 3.5* in the Times Square-Theatre District w/Boutique, Complimentary Breakfast, Pool, Business, Spa for $135. This would likely be the Room-Mate Grace, which gets mostly excellent reviews - and the free breakfast is a nice (and fairly rare) bonus in NYC.Thank you for using the site's PRICELINE or HOTWIRE links.
bnyc Posted July 9, 2009 Author Report Posted July 9, 2009 HiI bid using the PRICELINE link 125 in MTE for 7/18-20. They added $10 bonus cash a night and so I got the OMNI Berkshire. I am happy with it -- centrally located and nice hotel for 135 a night. (but I only had to pay 125 for it.)Thanks so much for your help.
AaronJB Posted July 9, 2009 Report Posted July 9, 2009 Wow - that is really one of the best possible results you could have gotten from that bid, and at an amazing price! :)Thank you for sharing your win and congrats on your success.Using the site's PRICELINE link to start your purchase is greatly appreciated.Enjoy your stay.
cruiseshmooz Posted July 12, 2009 Report Posted July 12, 2009 Does anyone know how much they charge for parking? Thanks
AaronJB Posted July 12, 2009 Report Posted July 12, 2009 It's listed on their website at $40 for valet (which doesn't seem bad for NYC.)
