MiniMika Posted July 9, 2009 Report Posted July 9, 2009 Hi,I'll be visiting Chicago for the first time in Nov. We plan to be there from Nov 25-29. Any suggestions on when we should start bidding and how much for a 4* hotel? Which area is convenient and suitable for tourists. Happy to pay up to $130 per night. Thanks in advance.
thereuare Posted July 9, 2009 Report Posted July 9, 2009 Welcome to BetterBidding! In regards to "when to bid" see the related 'bid early or close to check-in' link in our PRICELINE FAQ.The two main areas bid are NMA and the Loop. The two zones are adjacent to each other and you can walk from one to the other (although you may not want to near the end of the November :) )... the NMA zone is usually more favored as it's more "lively" with restaurants and nightlife, whereas the Loop zone gets pretty quiet at nite; however, the Loop zone is usually a little cheaper than the NMA zone so some choose it to save a few extra dollars without giving up too much convenience. At the moment your budget shouldn't be a problem for either zone.Let us know when you'd like to begin bidding and which zone(s) you're willing to accept, we'll then be able to suggest a strategy for you to follow. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.
