jhinslc Posted October 24, 2004 Report Posted October 24, 2004 looking for a 4* hotel in the midtown area of Manhattan for Jan 21-24, 2005Is a $100 bid unheard of?
thereuare Posted October 25, 2004 Report Posted October 25, 2004 It's not unheard of, but i think you'd have a much better chance if you raised your limit to $120 or so.We can try first and suggest a strategy with a $100 limit, or if you're willing to go higher we'll suggest a strategy with a $120 limit or so (or whatever you deem appropriate). Let us know how you'd like to begin, and if your plans/dates are firm, and we'll suggest a strategy to follow. jhinslc Posted October 25, 2004 Author Report Posted October 25, 2004 My dates are firm and set. The airline tickets are purchased, with my sky miles I might add. I am ready. I have a friend who's brother placed a bid for Times square area for $100 and got the bid at the Warwick Hotel. So that is were I came up with that amount. I hear January is a low off season time, so I figure what the heck. Julie
thereuare Posted October 25, 2004 Report Posted October 25, 2004 Is that win for the same dates as yours? Also, i don't believe that the Warwick is a 4* rated property... did your friend's brother state that it was a 4* hotel he won?
