compy168 Posted July 8, 2009 Report Posted July 8, 2009 How does Priceline "Name you own price" works? I put in Fremont, CA as location, it only allows me to pick San Francisco downtown or close by airports as pick up location. I don't want to go too far to pick up the car. And how do we bid with our own price on Hotwire? It seems like their price is not cheaper than the direct car rental company's websites. Sorry this is the 1st time I try to use the bidding method.
thereuare Posted July 9, 2009 Report Posted July 9, 2009 Welcome to BetterBidding!Where do you want to pick up the car? At a suburban non-airport locatioin or would Fresno - Air Terminal, CA USA (FAT) work for your needs? There is no bidding on HOTWIRE, but they do show 'retail' rates (where the name of the car company is shown) mixed in with their 'opaque' rates (where the name of the rental company is not shown) which may be one reason why you're seeing rates very close to other sites. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.
