Hotwire Hotel: 3.5* NYC (MTC) Sheraton Manhattan

Booked this two weeks ago on HOTWIRE using the betterbidding link for our first trip to NY. Had also been considering a 3* MTC (which according to the amenity list corresponded with Holiday Inn Express) on Hotwire for about the same price. The Sheraton Four Points in Times Square has a grand opening special on their hotel website for about the same price as well. Despite the relatively poor reviews on TA for the Sheraton Manhattan, I went with it anyway considering the negative reviews for this property were mostly from people used to 4-5* hotels and the positive reviews for Holiday Inn Express were mostly from people used to 2-3* hotels. Also figured a larger hotel might be better for getting the big city feel. :)

Glad to see you received a great deal on this property and that you're happy with the results. There have been a few people on the board recently who reported they were satisfied with their stay. The reviews are likely mostly from people who paid full price. While they weren't happy at $250+, people seem to be more accepting of this hotel at $100-125. $129 for a quad occupancy stay is pretty fantastic, especially considering 4 adults would otherwise add some steep extra person charges in NYC.
