MandiC
I have never heard or used Hotwire until today. I like the price I was quoted for a 3* hotel in Gatlinburg Tennessee from July 9th to July 12th. It was $63.00 a night. Now.. here is the question of the century! What hotels am I looking at. Of course I tried to call Hotwire and see if they would give me an idea!! HAHA! No Luck! They said that Expedia is there "sister" company. So I thought possiably the star ratings were the same? I just need to know if anyone has stayed recently at a 3* hotel in GatlinburgIts me,my husband and two kids. The hotels that I found on Expedia showing 3*ParvistaGlenstone LodgeFoxtrot Bed & BreakfastWestgate Smoky Mountian resortChalet VillageHoliday Inn Sun Spree ResortHoliday Inn Club VacationsBuckhorn Inn*** and I'm sure there are others that I coudl not find! Any thoughts are welcome! Thanks Link to comment

AaronJB
The 2.5* would likely be the Garden Plaza. However, Expedia has the price at $65 and you get a $50 prepaid gas card if you book using a Mastercard. Please use the site's Expedia.com or HOTWIRE.com links. Link to comment
MandiC
:) WOW...I didnt see that one. I will be home soon, I will search some more. Is Hotwire safe to use? I have seen some really scary reviews! I just want a nice hotel ( not something out of a Friday the 13th movie) and close to the strip so we can walk and not worry about parking. I will check HOTWIRE again in a bit, and see if there deals have changed again. I was really looking forward to the 3* that I was quoted earlier! darn... Link to comment

Hoping that the 3* deal shows up again! I'm so scared to use HOTWIRE or PRICELINE! I have read such bad reviews! But.. I have also ready REALLY good reviews. Just like anything, its the good with the bad. thanks for the help so far! Link to comment
mama steph
Just an FYI and I hope this is OK. I just stayed 3 nights at the Park Vista for $49.99 a night. They have discount coupon books all over the place in Gatlinburg. I picked up the small red, white and blue one for Tennessee (I think at KFC in town though I know I saw them elsewhere). I know they usually limit the amount of rooms for these deals but I called at 4pm for that night and had no problem getting the reservation. I then called the next 2 mornings and added another night since I was loving it so much! They had no problem keeping me with the coupon rate and it was by far the best deal I have found. We stayed at Garden Plaza the first night and it was a decent hotel but the PV has such an amazing view and was cheaper!! Good luck. Link to comment
