Hotwire Hotel: 3* Las Vegas (near Strip East) Desert Rose

Hello, we will be 3 adults + 1 child (11 yrs) in Vegas for 3 nights from 9/18-9/21. I was looking at the following on hotwire- 5*, central strip:

Amenities:

Casino

Fitness Center

Pool(s)

Restaurant(s)

Business Center

Golf Nearby

Tennis Nearby

Spa Services

$156/night, $528.51 total

I am guessing that the above would be Wynn. Could someone confirm that? Also, how can I make sure we get two queen beds in the room? Is that possible? I did the above search based on two adults, but I don't want to end up with one bed. In addition to the above total, am I likely to get hit with other charges when I get to the hotel? (I don't intend to park, and I don't mean tips)

I am also curious to know why people seem opposed to getting the Trump international? Is there any particular reason?

I have never been to Vegas, so I would appreciate all the help and suggestions.

Thank you!

The above is a match for the Wynn so that would be our best guess.

Include quad occupancy on your search and you'll be asured of sleeping accomodations for everyone you include in your search (althugh this guarantees 'sleeping accomodations' for everyone, which is usually 2 beds, it could be 1bed+pullout sofabed, 1bed+rollaways, etc)

I don't believe the Wynn charges a resort fee.

Some choose to avoid the Trump as it's slightly off-strip and doesn't have a casino, which are two of the traits many look for when going to Vegas.

Thanks for the response. When I change the number of occupants to 3 adults or 3 adults + 1 child, Wynn is not available anymore (no five star properties available).

The following is available instead:

4.5 star hotel in Near Strip East

Amenities

Resort

Suite

Casino

Smoke Free Rooms

Pool(s)

Restaurant(s)

Business Center

Kitchenette

Spa Services

What property is the above? I was hoping for Wynn as I have heard great things about it, which unfortunately is unavailable when I change the number of occupants. Is it possible to go with Wynn for two adults and then call the hotel to request two queen beds?

From previous reports is this a match for Signature at MGM Grand so that would be my best guess.

This is a question that the board really can't answer with any guarantee. It all depends on the hotel occupancy level for your dates. It's really a 50/50 chance. Do you want to go for your first Vegas bet right now? :)

Please use the site's HOTWIRE link to start your purchase, and let us know how it goes.

I believe the "official" policy at the Wynn is $50 per person per nite for occupancy more than two (i know, one of the steepest in Vegas :) )

It basically comes down to a risk that only you, and those in your group, can decide if you're willing to take or not.

I did a quick search and this was the first post (there are many others) i found which addresses this situation: Wynn Las Vegas Occupancy

The 4.5-star hotel in Near Strip East is available again, don't know why it disappeared briefly. If I enter 4 adults, I am assuming that 4 people will be able to sleep in the room. I am asking this because regardless of the number of people (2 or 4), the rate remains the same: $159

I am considering going with Trump. However, that does not come up on HOTWIRE when I enter more than 2 people for the room. Does anyone know if it comes with a sofabed as well?

Also, since I am considering using PRICELINE as well, I am curious to know how you enter the number of people per room in there? Is there an option for that or do you just enter the number of rooms? My apologies if I should be posting this on the priceline forum.

thanks!

PRICELINE only guarantees sleeping accomodations for 2, it is up to the hotel to upgrade you to a quad room and they may charge you an additional fee to do so. You are posting in the corect forum as this thread reflects your trip and will be moved if you go with PRICELINE.

After a lot of going back and forth, weighing different options, trying both priceline bids as well as hotwire, I made my hotel reservations as follows:

9/18-9/20 - 2 nights: using the HOTWIRE link on this site

9/20-9/21 - 1 night: Bellagio, Deluxe Lakeview Room, 2 queens via the hotel's website (thanks to TripAdvisor, found link to a promotion).

The Desert Rose Resort - 1 Bedroom Condo

4 adults

Hotwire hot Rate of $59.00/night (since these are weekend dates, the rates were quite high elsewhere)

Hotel :$118.00

Tax and fees:$19.25

Total price::$137.25

3 Star condo near strip east

1-Bedroom Suite

Fully-equipped Kitchen

Complimentary Breakfast

Free Parking

Fitness Center

Pool(s)

Front Desk

Laundry Facilities

High-speed Internet Access

Golf Nearby

The rate on the hotel's website is $95. I wondered if I should get a 2 bedroom (not available on hotwire), but it seemed like getting two one bedrooms via hotwire at $59/night would be cheaper than getting a two bedroom.

Thanks so much for all your prompt responses and thanks to this site, I had a good guess ahead of time what property the room will be in.
