Priceline Hotel: 3* San Francisco (USE) Chancellor Hotel

Hi there,

I will be in San Francisco from 7/29 to 8/2. And from a week ago, I have been bidding for the hotels in USE and SOMA so hard and never succeeded until just now. I tried up to $80 for 4* and 3.5* at USE, no way. But I saw from the other posts that even lower prices could be accepted. I am wondering if San Francisco would be crowded at that time.

One advice I got from this website is to split my bidding since it will cover Sat. and Sun. I tried the same price ($80) for 7/29 to 7/31 for 4* and 3.5* again, and I failed again. Today I tried $70 for a 3*, and got Chancellor Hotel. I search the website, and it is said to be good. I am happy to win it. Of course I use the link PRICELINE.

Now I have to move on to bid the other two night (7/31-8/2) there. My most wanted place is grand hyatt (4*). And I see here and there some guy gets below $70 on that hotel, like $67. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Another question is, priceline has ranked it as a 3*, but I also see some where posts it as a 2.5*. Has it recently been upgraded or downgraded?
