I need to bid for the Santa Monica area Friday August 21-Tuesday the 25th. What would be a smart bid? Obviously I have every intention of using this sites link to do my bidding. :)

I think it all depends on the star rating that you would prefer.

I'd much rather not spend over $100 a night. A 3* rating or higher is preferred. I know NOTHING about LA or Santa Monica so this may not even be possible.

I apologize for not having all my info on here. I could have sworn I at least gave star rating. Ooops.

Did you want to try for a 4* first up to your limit, then if rejected lower to 3.5* up t your limit, then if rejected try for a 3*... OR is your goal the least expensive 3* or better for this stay?

Also, do note that the zone is Santa Monica-Marina Del Rey so covers a bit more than just Santa Moica, i assume you're ok with a hotel anywhere within the shaded boundaries of the zone?

Let us know the above and we'll suggest a strategy for you to follow.
