kerokerope Posted July 7, 2009 Report Posted July 7, 2009 Hi all,Bid $75 for 4* hotel in vancouver downtown. PRICELINE counter bid and ask for an increase of bid by $17.I agreed and paid $92. Got Hyatt Hotel.I dont think this is a good rate as i saw other successful bids at about $80.I should have known this website much earlier! Then again, here's my contribution so that others may learn from my experience.:-)
thereuare Posted July 7, 2009 Report Posted July 7, 2009 Thank you for sharing your results with the board. You can usually undercut PRICELINE's counter-offer by using re-bid zones (Priceline Re-Bidding Explained) as discussed in this Priceline Suggests Price to Pay thread. Can you please add a reply to this thread with the check-out date of your stay so we can add this to the topic title and enable your win to appear in the Priceline and Hotwire Calendar of Wins. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Thank you. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
kerokerope Posted July 7, 2009 Author Report Posted July 7, 2009 I check out on 7/26.I didn't use the PRICELINE link as I got the reservation from Priceline before I knew about BetterBidding which was definitely a pity. Else I would have got a better deal. :-)
