cs362000 Posted July 7, 2009 Report Posted July 7, 2009 Hi,I'm planning my first trip to Paris! I would like to stay in a 4* hotel close to the sights. Maximum budget is $140 a night. Suggestions on which zones to bid? Thanks!
Romelle Posted July 7, 2009 Report Posted July 7, 2009 Paris has a fine public transport system. Inexpensive, frequent, fast, and easy to use. A good first step for you might be to map out the sights in which you are particularly interested and see in which PRICELINE zones they fall. Dates for your trip?Romelle
cs362000 Posted July 8, 2009 Author Report Posted July 8, 2009 Romelle, thanks for your reply!Originally I was thinking Aug10-13 but now have revised to Aug8-12.I would like to be somewhere close to the Eiffel Tower, but read that the Eiffel Tower zone on PRICELINE extends pretty far.Any advice?
Romelle Posted July 8, 2009 Report Posted July 8, 2009 Now take a look at the Priceline and Hotwire Calendar of Wins above for your dates, and see if your budget seems reasonable. Also do a Quick Search on Paris (above) and see if the hotels in the Eiffel tower area (as reported by others) would work for you. Always being aware that different hotels could pop up at any time (I speak from experience here). Your definition of "somewhere close" is pretty subjective. Romelle
cs362000 Posted July 9, 2009 Author Report Posted July 9, 2009 Thank you Romelle! I will follow your advice and use the PRICELINE link here if I decide to bid.
