RedLightning Posted July 7, 2009 Report Posted July 7, 2009 Aaaand after planning to stay with relatives in VA close to DC for the intervening period, I go ahead to book a property for the final leg in my trip in New York.Now, since I needed to drive the rest of my family to the airport on the very early morning of the 12th to let them catch a 7am flight, and the fact that we're staying more nights than our other stops led me to try to find a cheaper property a little outside of NYC. Once again looking at the map and past history the Secaucus-North Bergen area looked like something that was decently accessible to the city while not being a pain to park our car with. Going through the past history again I saw $55-58 successful bids, and it being late at night already I decided to just go ahead and bid $60.Priceline then took a long time (over 10 minutes) to process my bid, which had me worrying - but it turns out that it was just my credit card that had gotten too close to my credit limit to let them charge the entire stay. Logged into online banking to make a payment and had them try charging it again, and surprisingly it went through! thereuare Posted July 7, 2009 Report Posted July 7, 2009 Congratulatons on your success!This property should work out quite well as i believe there is a bus stop right near the hotel entrance, as well as a Wal-Mart nearby where you can stock up on breakfast foods, soda, candy, snacks, etc for the room... as well as a few restaurants within walking distance.
