First time ever used a PRICELINE or HOTWIRE... so a total noob at this.

OK, to be honest, this wasn't my first choice in mind.

I was going for Marriott Rive Gauche.

I used PRICELINE link provided

1st try, 4* St. Germain - Latin Quarter - Montparnasse @ $105

counter @ $142

re-bid @ 110, still no go

added Opera Quarter East - Les Halles and re-bid @ $110, still no go

2nd try

30mins later (dinner)

closed browser and used the link again

added Champs Elysees - Opera Quarter West @ 110

added Eiffel Tower - Port De Versailles - Montparnasse @ 105, still no go

the final bid @ $110

Most Paris hotels get a few 'bad' reviews mixed in, as rates are generally VERY high, which also brings along high expectations which are often not met.
