Priceline Hotel: 3* Pittsburgh (Airport PIT) Crowne Plaza Pittsburgh Airport

Continuing on my trip outlined in this priceline thread, I looked for a hotel in my next stop using the same strategy. After seeing however the cost for parking at the downtown hotel in Cleveland and wanting to keep the trip as cheap as possible, I decided to book an airport area hotel this time in Pittsburgh since we were driving in anyway and could get around easily for the free parking (after making sure all the 3* airport properties did have free parking!)

Using the same strategy, I saw wins from $33-$35 in the area, so I started at $35. At the 3* level I had two re-bid zones to work with so I did not bother to overshoot it that much just yet. My bid at $35 was rejected, but I got the screen offering me to up by bid by $9 right there, so I knew I was close. If I had the luxury of retrying tomorrow I would have, but since the trip is coming up so soon I upped by bid by $2 to $37, which still leaves me one more re-bid zone to use. My bid at $37 was accepted however and I was put in the Crowne Plaza Airport.

This property looks like it isn't as well reviewed as the other airport properties, but I understand that this is a consequence of the PRICELINE system that we will end up with slightly less desirable properties once in a while. It's still a very nicely-priced property in a good location, so as long as we get two clean beds to work with I'm really not about to complain.

Thank you for sharing your results with the board.

The reviews don't seem too bad to me, nothing spectacular, nothing terrible, and for the price paid ($37) i imagine will work out fine for a one nite stay.
