The Griff Posted July 5, 2009 Report Posted July 5, 2009 From everything I've seen here the match for my stay from 7/8-7/13 is the Cambridge Suites. Haven't seen it mentioned on the boards here lately and the Trip Advisor stats are a bit off which could just be a delay due to the weekend. Amenities are Suites, Fitness, Restaurant, Business Center and High Speed internet. I don't see any other hotels with that list of amenities on here so wondering if anyone can "confirm" my best guess that it's the Cambridge. Thanks in advance!
AaronJB Posted July 5, 2009 Report Posted July 5, 2009 Welcome to the site. This would appear to be a match for the Suites at 1 King West. Please use the site's HOTWIRE link to start your purchase.
The Griff Posted July 5, 2009 Author Report Posted July 5, 2009 I thought that at first too but looking at the map that hotel would appear as if it should be in the West zone. Has it been confirmed that the hotel is indeed in the East zone? I want to avoid this place based on recent reviews. Thanks for the help!So now I'm looking at a 3 star in the East section that I don't see reported before:N/S, Fitness, Pool, Restaurant, HSI, Golf and Tennis. Any ideas?
thereuare Posted July 5, 2009 Report Posted July 5, 2009 I'm not familiar enough with this area to know the exact street corner that this porperty is on, and depending upon what mapping service i use, i can see it in either zone (nor is the HOTWIRE boundary map that detailed to make it easy to tell)... but the offering above is similar enough that i believe it to be the Suites at 1 King West. The 3* East property has not yet been identified, but a guess would be teh Ramada Plaza. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Let us know what you decide and how it goes or if we can be of further help. Has it been confirmed that the hotel is indeed in the East zone?I've been to this hotel, and it is in the East zone. If you want to check for yourself, go to the HOTWIRE page showing the details of the hotel. Under the area map, click the link "Find an address on the map" and enter the address on the form that appears below it.
thereuare Posted July 6, 2009 Report Posted July 6, 2009 Under the area map, click the link "Find an address on the map" and enter the address on the form that appears below it.Unforutnately this HOTWIRE feature is only offered for US based hotels. The Griff Posted July 6, 2009 Author Report Posted July 6, 2009 Any thoughts on a three star Toronto West that includes Restaurant, Internet, Tennis and Laundry? Didn't find such a beast on the list. 3.5/4.0 based on 60+ reviews.EDIT: Wow I can't believe I reposted this...sorry!

The Griff Posted July 6, 2009 Author Report Posted July 6, 2009 Just had my first bid of $65 accepted for the Sheraton Centre in Toronto. Probably could've gotten it for less but I didn't want to risk having to keep re-bidding. I opted to go this route rather than prolonging my Hotwire agony. Thanks for the help there though!
The Griff Posted July 6, 2009 Author Report Posted July 6, 2009 I decided to stop going nuts over Hotwire and try my luck with PRICELINE. As I posted in that forum I got my first big of $65 accepted for this trip. Going to be staying at the Sheraton Centre. Thanks for the help.
