kgtravel Posted July 6, 2009 Report Posted July 6, 2009 would love some advice on le parker meridian. I've combed the calendar and seen a bunch who put in cps 4star and got that hotel for 120$- Which is the one i'd ideally like (for 7-31 to 8-2). I've bid three times now..first at 120, then 121, and now at 125 and I'm getting rejected. it looks like if i go to 140 i would get the lowes regency (only because there is one on 7-22 for 140$ that was booked.) any ideas? 8-10 and 8-11 got le parker for 140$. are they raising their rates for august? or are they not giving any more rooms to priceline? i'd love any help thanksk
thereuare Posted July 6, 2009 Report Posted July 6, 2009 Welcome to BetterBidding!I'm not sure i'm following your logic as to why the counter-offer at $140 would likely result in the Loews... with PRICELINE there is no way to target a specific hotel (nor know what hotel is likely being offered on a counter-offer) If you're trying to target a specific property then HOTWIRE is usually a better option if you're able to reasonably identify the hotel before your purchase based upon the amenities show. Are you willing to accept any 4* hotel in the CPS zone? Are there others zone(s) you're willing to consider? Have you done a HOTWIRE search to see what was offered and if you were able to identify the Le Meridien? Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.
