There seems to be a pretty great deal with the following deal in which I would like to get a better idea of what hotel it is as there seems to be a pretty wide variance in the satisfaction levels with the hotels in South Beach - Miami Beach.

Location - Central South Beach

Three star

$39/night

  • Boutique Hotel
  • Near Beach
  • Airport Shuttle
  • Pool(s)
  • Restaurant(s)
  • High-speed Internet Access
  • Golf Nearby
  • Tennis Nearby

Thanks in advance - Steve

I ended up not booking the NYC thread for my friend. When I use HOTWIRE, I post the details of my respective wins. Can we assume in the future that this is the case so I don't to waste 12 hours to reply to these types of emails as it seems Hotwire deals are time sensitive.

Thanks in Advance - Steve

Ideally all threads should have a resolution, it make the posts on the board more useful to others, keeps the board a bit more organized, and is a courtesy to those who took the time to help.

In the future why not 'close' your threads once you confirm/cancel your plans, then there won't be a delay in getting your future post replied to :)

Please follow-up your previous Hotwire New York thread with the fact that you didn't end up booking that hotel for your friend (and if the trip wasn't cancelled, it would probably help future users to know what you did end up booking for that stay), then bump this thread with the DATES of the South Beach stay above and we'll have a look.

Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.

Thanks.

OK will do, though do people really care if my friend canceled his trip to NYC? I am confused about bumping a thread. or closing a thread. Can you please elaborate on what you want the users of the forum to do or point me in the direction where this is outlined. I ended up booking another deal which I just posted.

Thanks - steve

Congratulations on your success and thank you for sharing your results with the board.

Looks like a fantastic deal for a well-reviewed condo property for this date.

Please use the site's HOTWIRE and PRICELINE links to start future purchases.

Enjoy your stay.

Not in the personal sense, but they do care in how it related to them.

The stay you asked about was originally posted 3 weeks ago, and takes place 2-3 days from now. Let's say i'm searching for a stay in NYC and see the same 4* you asked about on your search offered for my own dates. Obviously it would help me to know what you received, but instread of knowing the hotel in question, or knowing that you cancelled the trip, i'm now left wondering if you purchased the hotel and didn't report the win, if you're still seeing this as an option and perhaps i should wait a few more days to see if you go for it, or perhaps you found some other deal (which i'd like to know about because if it's better than what we're each being offered, maybe it would be good for my own stay as well) This still applies if your post was in the past as i may be seeing the same hotel offered in the future, so again, please 'conclude' your Hotwire New York thread.

Similarly, those who take the time to help like to see the results of the research they did, as well as a sense of satisfaction knowing that they helped somebody save money with their travel plans. Imagine if after the effort is put forth, there's not so much as a reply, which leaves the 'helper' wondering if the information was used and how it worked out, or questioning if the original poster ever even came back to read the reply :)

So in light of the above, we ask that users "close" their treads by posting a conclusion to them... the hotel received, if got a different deal by booking direct, if they cancelled the trip, etc. as this gives an 'ending to the story' for all future readers.

"Bumping" a thread is just adding a reply since it 'bumps' the thread to the top of the queue and puts it in the chronlogical list of threads to read.

It would be appreciated if you used the requested PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
