scappyplants Posted July 3, 2009 Report Posted July 3, 2009 I thought I would get the Maui Prince in this zone so I bid low and was accepted for the 1 night. Stayed here before, kind of Zen, and beats the heck out of the 2* Castle maui resort the company travel agent had originally booked for $170 per night - in Kahalui no less!! MP for $135 (total with fees =160) is a deal, and hey the nude beach is just to the left!! :)PS-when I had put in the $135 bid, I got the "your bid has virtually no chance of being accepted" blurb from Priceline - and it was the first shot.
thereuare Posted July 3, 2009 Report Posted July 3, 2009 Congratulations on your success!Glad to see you received the hotel you were hoping for and that you're happy with the results... a definite improvement over your previous 2* reservation. As i think you know, you should ignore PRICELINE's "no chance" or "low chance" message as it's not meaningful in dertermining your minimum bid or bidding strategy. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Enjoy your stay.
