Priceline Hotel: 4* Maui (Wailea-Makena) Marriott

Hi, I'm new to this site and wanted to post my result.

I bid on PRICELINE for a 4* hotel in the Wailea in late May/early June. Unfortunately, I did not use this site as I was unaware of it back then. I had read reviews on Tripadvisor and it seemed like a lot of people had gotten either the Marriott or the Maui Prince when using Priceline so I thought I'd give it a go since I'd be happy with either hotel.

Bidding History:

For a few days, I tried to get a 4* hotel for under $125 per night. I had no luck so I decided to try $150 on June 2. This time, instead of being rejected outright, Priceline gave me the option of rebidding at $25 more so I went up to $175 and got the Marriott Wailea. Had I known about this site then, I would not have rebid at $175 and instead would have tried to go back after the 24 hour period to start a new bid and try $155 or $160. I saw another user on here post a winning bid for the Marriott for similar dates at $160. At least I know I didn't pay too much more.

What a great site. I also have wins for Monterey, Ca that I'll post - I used the PRICELINE links from here for those.
