Hotwire Hotel: 4* Chicago (Mag Mile-Streeterville) Sheraton

Hello,

I am looking to book 2 rooms (5 guests total 4 Adults 1 child) for a shopping trip in Chicago from July 11-14 (3 nights). Magnificent Mile area is where I would like to stay at a 4* or higher. I would need 2 double rooms. Is this something that is usually given when booking with Hotwire/Priceline. What tool would you suggest I use? I am looking ideally to pay below $150 a night and wondering where I will get the best rate with the room requirements. How far apart are the Mag Mile and the North Michigan Avenue - Water Tower - Gold Coast areas? Both are at the same rate right now on hotwire any tips on which will get me a better hotel?

I would need 2 double rooms. Is this something that is usually given when booking with HOTWIRE / PRICELINE

PRICELINE only guarantees double occupancy, so it's possible you receive a hotel with only one bed. HOTWIRE guarnatees sleeping accomodations for everyone you include in your search... if you search for more than double ocupancy, this usually means 2 beds, but it could be one bed plus a pullout sofabed (or rollaway bed brought into the room)

Are you including 2rooms/4adults/1child on your HOTWIRE search?

How far apart are the Mag Mile and the North Michigan Avenue - Water Tower - Gold Coast areas?

After you do a HOTWIRE search, on the left side of the page click "See Map" and you'll see each of the zones on a map. As well, you can click the CONTINUE button next to an offering for either zone and on the subsequent page see a close-up of the zone.

The first one is likely the Sheraton (4* Mag Mile), the second one is likely the W Lakeshore (4* NMA)

The Sheraton is one of my least favorite 4* properties North of the River, and the W is a very trendy/hip, "love it or hate it" property (I like it and would far prefer it over the Sheraton, but I can easily see where one would not. If a trendy/hip boutique sounds like it would appeal, I'd go with the W.)

Tried to book last night and missed out on the deal for the NMA area. Just got 4* Mag Mile - Sheraton for $149 a night - July 11-14 if you could add this to the Hotwire Priceline and Hotwire Calendar of Wins that would be great.

As I recommend to others who get this hotel as a win, Fox and Obel Market & Cafe (fox-obel.com) is a great choice for breakfast/lunch/dinner a couple of blocks East on the corner of McClurg and Illinois. While HOTWIRE / PRICELINE reservations aren't eligible for upgrades, a large number of rooms at this property have good views of the river/lake/surrounding area or some combination of those, so hopefully you'll have a nice view.
