Priceline Hotel: 3.5* Monterey (Monterey-Pacific Grove) Portola Hotel and Spa

I am planning to bid on a 4 star hotel in Monterey - Pacific Grove. Staying on July19-20. I have checked on the Priceline Hotel list and see that there're two 4 start hotel: Marriott Monterey and Inter-Continental. But in the recent post I only see Inter-Continental. May I know how likely I will get the Marriot if I plan to bid on a 4 star hotel.

The Monterey Marriott has not been reported to the board since 2003, so i would say the chances are low of receiving that property, although i'll add the 'disclaimer' that we have seen hotels disappear and for years and then suddenly begin to appear again, as well as new hotels appear out of the blue, so you should be prepared to receive any hotel in the zone at the star level (or higher) that you select.

My stay is: 19/7-20/7, staying for one night

Started to bid on 4 star for $90, then wait 24 hours and bid for $100, with no success

Then, started to bid for 3 star for $65, $75, $90 (waited 24 hrs each), bid was accepted at $90 and was upgraded to 3.5 star for Portola Hotel & Spa At Monterey Bay
