Priceline Hotel: 4* Seattle (Downtown-Pike Place) Pike Place

:) Hi - I am new to this board - I have been reading it and it helped me get this PRICELINE rate of $95.

I started at $80 and each day added a little. Offers declined. I got offer of add $22 to $88 bid, but I declined. \

Finally I offered $90, which was declined. Then I added *4 star in Lake Union (which does not have any 4 star) and

offered $95. Finally this was accepted.

Looking at the board this was not a great offer but I am very happy. I got the Westin Seattle which is the

location and hotel I wanted. Rates at this time may be higher because its the weekend of the Seafair Fleet

Week and Air Show.

You can't compare your win to others on different dates since rates are date specific, and as you point out, there is an event during your stay which may be causing higher rates. With hotel direct rates at $200+ for these dates i think this is an excellent deal.
