Priceline Hotel: 3.5* Newport (Goat Island) Marriott

I needed to book another room in Newport - Goat Island and Newport Beach zone, 3* or higher for 7/4-7/5.

Newport Harbor Marina's wants $400 for the room if book directly. The Newport Hyatt wants $389 for 1 King room and $429 for a 2 double beds. Hotwire only has 4 stars available and is the same price at the Hyatt if booked directly.

I could use some bidding advice.

Have you already made a bid for just this solo nite of 7/4... how much was your highest rejected bid (for just this one nite)?

Do you have a maximum bid in mind?

I started at $200. My last bid was this past Saturday and I bid up to $300 for 7/4 and it was rejected. That is my maximum.

Perhaps I should wait until tomorrow and restart my bidding?

Nevermind, I just got the Marriott for $100 for Saturday night 7/4. Unbelievable! Website rate is $439.

This would suggest that waiting is worthwhile...

I've been bidding on Newport 3-3.5 stars up to $110 for the past few days and nothing! Looking for 8/14-16
