It was a PRICELINE property and it was for July 3 and it was 3 1/2 star listing under "Portsmouth category" thanks

One cannot bid for specific hotels on PRICELINE and/or know exactly what hotel might come up when bidding.

Are you seeing this on the retail side of the service?

No I am just trying to figure out what hotel it is on PRICELINE, I saw there was a 3 1/2 star on the site to bid on, and I did not know of any other hotel that was 3 1/2 star in Portsmouth area, does any one know if there is another 3 1/2 star hotel in Portsmouth area?

We only now of hotels that have been reported to the board, and so far, no 3.5* properties have been reported.

As per THIS LINK the Marriott Westworth by the Sea is rated 3.5* on the "retail" side, but since the two sides of the PRICELINE service ("retail" and "opaque") uses a different universe of hotels, there is no knowing if this property participates in the "opaque" side of their business... or if there are other proerties at this star raing that simply don't participate in the 'retail' side of their business.

So, did you ever find out what hotel that the 3.5 star was? It's showing up today on HOTWIRE, and Wentworth-by-the-Sea is the only 3.5 star listed by PRICELINE.

If you need help with an upcoming stay you'll likely be better served by starting a NEW TOPIC for your own stay, as this thread is over 6 months old and the chances of the OP seeing your post and replying are somewhat low.

This thread is a good example why we request users to follow-up their threads, even if they don't ultimately use PRICELINE or HOTWIRE, as it 'closes' the thread and lets future users know what was done for the stay, rather than leave them wondering, as in this example.
