nosh276 Posted June 29, 2009 Author Report Posted June 29, 2009 Welcome to the site. :)What are the date/s of travel?July 2 arriveJul 5 depart2 adults, one roomI think the 56$ one may be the Westin Peachtree Plaza
audiTT Posted June 29, 2009 Report Posted June 29, 2009 The 3.5* is a match for the Westin Peachtree Plaza and a very good price. The 4* is close to the Hyatt Regency, but missing the SHUTTLE icon.
thereuare Posted June 30, 2009 Report Posted June 30, 2009 The amenites of the 4* are quite comon for a Downtown city hotel, but I do believe the Hyatt is not currently showing the Shuttle icon and that would be my best guess for the 4*.Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Let us know what you decide and how it goes or if we can be of further help. nosh276 Posted June 30, 2009 Author Report Posted June 30, 2009 Well, I waited too long and lost the deal.It was the Westin Peachtree Plaza. I got it for 65 a night, which still isn't bad. I'm very pleased. I'm definitely going to recommend HOTWIRE.
audiTT Posted June 30, 2009 Report Posted June 30, 2009 I've watched the Westin Peachtree Plaza on several different dates and have noticed them jump from the $45 - $55 range up to the $60 - $65 range on a couple of different occasions. This isn't the norm for properties listing on Hotwire... most stay roughly the same or sell-out. It seems if you see the Westin Peachtree Plaza at a low price, you're better off not waiting because they have a history of jumping up in price. Even then, great price for a property I think is somewhat unique and underrated, with a few caveats.
thereuare Posted June 30, 2009 Report Posted June 30, 2009 Congratulations on your success!Glad to see you received the hotel you were hoping for. Although a few dollars more than previously quoted, still a nice discount vs. a conventionally booked room :)Please remember to use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Enjoy your stay.
