I would appreciate a bidding strategy for the following stay for 2 adults:

MCO airport zone:

Check-in: 7/12 (will be arriving after 10:00PM)

Check-out: 7/13

We will then be driving to St. Petersburg from 7/13 through 7/16 and staying at the Tradewinds Island Grand.

MCO airport zone:

Check-in: 7/16

Check-out: 7/19 (will be departing on an early morning flight)

I believe I will need to make two totally separate bids because the dates are not consecutive. I did note however, that on my bid for the Tradewinds I was offered the opportunity to add additional days to my already accepted bid. In this case should I bid for the 7/12-7/13 stay first and if I win the bid add the 7/16-7/19 days? What should be my $$ strategy? I have noted that many winning bids for $43 have won the MCO Hyatt Regency. Should I just start my bidding at $43 and see what happens? I would actually prefer the MCO Hyatt Regency but realize that there are several in that zone that are rated 3.5* and may win one of the others. Several discount websites list the MCO Hyatt Regency in the $150's - $160's price range. Hyatt's website cannot compute a search at this time. Thanks for your help.

The "add a nite" feature only allows you to add consecutive nites and only up to as many nites as you purchased on your original bid, so your strategy of purchasing one nite, 7/12, and then adding 3 nites won't work on two counts (ie- 1) you're trying to add more nites than your original purchase, and 2) your not adding consecutive nites)

So you're correct that you'll need to make separate bids for each leg of your stay, and as such, please use separate threads for each leg of your stay. We'll use this thread for your nite of 7/12, please feel free to start a NEW TOPIC for the nite 7/16-7/19 stay.

For the nite of 7/12, we wouldn't want to suggest a strategy that went higher than you were willing to bid, let us know your maximum bid and we'll suggest a strategy for you to follow.

Today I bid $43.00 for 1 night 7/12/09 - 7/13/09 in the Orlando Airport zone and it was accepted by the Hyatt Regency in the Orlando Airport. I based my bidding strategy on the most recent history. I realize that past history is neither an indication of an appropriate $$ nor a guarantee of hotel. But I took the risk and it worked out. Thanks.
