texasgirl3 Posted June 26, 2009 Report Posted June 26, 2009 Used BB PRICELINE link.Started at $45 downtown 3.5* (wanted to try for a place with 2 beds in rooms & Monaco rooms have only 1 bed), got an offer for $13 over, so took your advice and figured could get for half that. Rebid with North-Jantzen Beach (PL automatically added 4*) at $50. Nothing.Rebid with Vancouver at $52, and got it. Total $66 w/fees.Expedia rate for same night is $129Was hoping for the Hilton ( also 3.5*)-- Don't remember for sure, but think Paramount was not on the list of hotels here? Hoping for better outcome than reviewer on tripadvisor, who recently got a nasty attitude when he presented PL reservation. Reviews on TA overall not great--will hope for the best. MY friend just wants a place with no bedbugs! :) Thanks for the help, better bidding! I tell all my friends to go here!

tilepusher Posted June 26, 2009 Report Posted June 26, 2009 I stayed at this hotel in late April - early May (I've been meaning to write a review, but I never seem to get around to it). The hotel is a bit lacking in amenities compared to the Hilton (no pool, and the fitness room isn't really up to 3.5* standards), but the rooms are much bigger than the Hilton's and have fridges and free wireless Internet (although the signal wasn't very strong from my 8th floor room). I also like the fact that, unlike the Hilton, all of the rooms are non-smoking. I didn't receive any PRICELINE attitude from the staff (I actually received a thank you note from the housekeeper for leaving a tip :) ). It's an unspectacular hotel, but solid and an excellent value at PL rates. I'm pretty sure that your friend will have no problems with this place.
