Hotwire Hotel: FLL_4* Hollywood Beach

I need 2 rooms pre & post cruise in November. Shopping yesterday for Nov14-15 there is a 4* with Resort, Boutique, Near Beach, Fitness, Pool, Restaurant, Internet, Golf for $81. Shopping for the following weekend Nov 22-23 a 4* for $81 is there, but minus the Boutique icon. Additional amenites are Tennis & Spa for both.

With the Boutique icon, I would guess it is the Dipolmat Country Club. Without the icon it is a close match to the Crowne Plaza or Westin, but the Smoke Free icon is missing.

Shopping today for the same thing, prices for both weekends have been reduced to $80. Is it possible this is the same hotel, but with different icons depending the day you shop? Hard to imagine that two different hotels lowered their price by $1 at the same time.

Although this is my first post, I have been a lurker for a number of years and I have never seen this scenario before. Anybody else seen this before?

It might not be that the property lowered the price they sell to Hotwire, but Hotwire lowered the price they sell to the customer. Either way, I'd say your ID guesses are about as good as you can do, with the Marriott being another possibility.

After some further research, I believe it is two separate properties. When you click on Continue on the hotel with the boutique icon, it tells you it is rated 4 out of 5 by TripAdvisor, which matches to the Diplomat Country Club.

When you click on Continue for the other property, where there is no Boutique icon, there is no rating from TripAdvisor.

I will watch a bit further and let bid thru your HOTWIRE link.

I'd agree that when the Boutique icon is showing, it's more than likely the Diplomat Country Club & Spa. When it's not showing, it's most likely the Crowne Plaza, Westin Diplomat, or Marriott.

Can you please list the amenties HOTWIRE associates with the hotel you're looking at for the Nov 22-23 stay. also, how many adults did you include in the search?

The amenites for the Nov 22-23 hotel were Resort, Near Beach, Fitness, Pool, Restaurant, Internet, Golf. Tennis & Spa came up for additional amenites. I shopped both 2 adults and 2 adults and 1 child. Nothing changed between those two shops.

I just re-read this thread... let's work on your pre-cruise stay, Nov14-15, first.

What are the amenities when searching for this date? Do you need more than double occupancy?

Actually I wanted to see if the price changed when adding 1 child. I am only looking for one room.

thereuare---I'm good now for Nov 14-15. Booked thur your HOTWIRE link on the support/travel links page. After speaking with girlfriend, decided to stay closer to airport/cruise port since we don't get in to town till dinner time on the 14th, so went down to 3.5* in the FLL APO zone. Will post a separate thread on this Hotwire win.

As for Nov 22-23 still looking for this one. I am going to keep watching the pricing in Hollywood Beach area, or FLL beach area.
