shaft2511 Posted June 24, 2009 Report Posted June 24, 2009 I am finding a 4* Hotwire hotel in Venice for the dates July 14 -16 for $110. But as I am reading it seems like Venice can be hit and miss and don't want to "miss" even though this seems like a great deal. The amenities are:Laundry FacilitiesGolf NearbyTennis nearbyAnyone have an idea on this one? Thanks
shaft2511 Posted June 24, 2009 Author Report Posted June 24, 2009 So the deal on hotwire for a 4* in Venice just went away for July 14-16 and was replaced by the following for $112 with the amenities:Comp breakfastRestaurantHigh Speed internet in roomPlus, it has a tripadvisor rating of 4.5 with over 180 reviews. I thought it could be the Saturina, which was reported as a 4* star win, but it doesn't have that many reviews. If anyone has an idea, I'd love the help and will use this site to book.
thereuare Posted June 25, 2009 Report Posted June 25, 2009 I'm going to guess this is the Best Western Premier Sant Elena, upgraded from its previously reported 3.5* rating. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Let us know what you decide and how it goes or if we can be of further help. shaft2511 Posted June 25, 2009 Author Report Posted June 25, 2009 Thanks Admin...I may wait a bit before booking to see if anyone else has had any experience actually booking it.
shaft2511 Posted June 27, 2009 Author Report Posted June 27, 2009 Admin...this 4* hotel in Venice on from July 14-16 with amenities of complimentary breakfast, restaurant, and in room internet access is still showing up for $119 a night. It is also showing a trip advisor rating of 4.5 out of 5 with over 180+ ratings. So I did a filter search on TripAdvisor for all hotels with a 4.5 rating that have a restaurant. And after doing that there are only 2, 4* hotels (according to Tripadvisor) that would fit the bill and have all the amenities listed:Starhotels Splendid Venice (325 reviews as of today)Residenza Cannaregio (346 reviews as of today)There are a few other 5* and 3* hotels on TA that fit the criteria, but these are the only 4*. Does anyone have any wisdom on these? We want our first experience in Venice to be great!
thereuare Posted June 27, 2009 Report Posted June 27, 2009 The hotels you've posted above have too many reviews to be considered realistic candidates for this property, imo.Why didn't the Best Western Premier Sant Elena (my previous guess) meet your criteria... as it seems to fit everything you filtered by.Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.
