Priceline Hotel: 4* Boston (Copley Square-Theatre District) Fairmont Copley Plaza

My first time posting, but the calendar of wins has been a great help to me (especially with Hotwire) so wanted to share some information to help others as well. Not sure if this is the right place to post, but I'll give it a shot.

Using PRICELINE booked the Fairmont Copley Plaza in Boston, MA from 7/2-7/5. My bid was $126 with tax it came out to $146 a night for three nights.

My strategy was as follows:

Limited to Copley Area. First tried 5 stars at $132 bid (since from the board I gathered I was bidding on the Taj and it got rather lackluster reviews on Tripadvisor, I was somewhat indifferent on winning this.)

It got turned down so I added 4* at $126. Based on the Priceline and Hotwire Calendar of Wins I figured I would get Westin Copley or Copley Square. I was hoping to get Copley Square (which seemed nicer than Westin) so I bid higher than what I thought it would take to win the Westin (not sure if this is a legitimate strategy, but I figured if I bid enough to meet the Copley target I would get it). Instead was pleasantly surprised with a win at the Fairmont.
