We R PSU
I've been checking Hotwire prices (and other sites) for Wed 3/16 through Fri 3/18. Prices are much higher than I normally pay for Vegas. I have been there several times on the opening week of the NCAA tourney and have never had trouble getting a room. Many of the hotels are either sold out or are charging rates much higher than I expected for a Wed, Thurs, Fri stay. 3.5* for $187 and 2.5* for $172.Is it too early to be looking on Hotwire? thereuare
It is likely too early as the hotels do not yet have a feel/indication of the number of rooms that they will need for their 'high rollers', but keep in mind that travel (and therefore hotel occupancy) is up from prior years... thus creating higher rates in many markets (both priceline, hotwire, and traditional). With even the Imperial Palace at $150+/nite, the QUICKBOOK rate of $57/nite at the Sahara might actually be worth considering. It does have a $10 cancellation fee (double-check), but this essentially adds only $5/nite to your stay if you can find something better. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
