mykel67
:) Okay, I keep reading on these boards and elsewhere about people getting great deals for rentals from MCO at $11, $12, $13 etc. The best rate I can get through the regular channels is $34.10 per day. I've tried bidding on Priceline starting with economy at $12 and going up to $20 by adding other car types but have had no luck whatsoever. Is that an especially busy week or something? Any advice? Should I wait until the last minute? Link to comment
szymon
Since this is already a last minute rental it seems the rates are high due to a large number of cars rented. It's best if you reserve a "backup" reservation and then you can keep trying.Szymon Link to comment
thereuare
You can use our Car Rental Checker to assist i your rate search. As you raised your PRICELINE bids, did you select lower or higher car classes? What was the car class selected when you bid $20?Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. GM Mike
I feel like a broken record on this, but...Have you considered adding an extra day to the end of your bid, thus potentially securing a weekly rate? There's no early return fee if you use a prepaid priceline bid. Link to comment
