karin1981 Posted June 22, 2009 Report Posted June 22, 2009 Hello everyone..!!I'm trying to book / looking for a hotel room in Las Vegas between 10/5 & 10/9.I've already been bidding on one and i only get $56 on a 3.5* one on the South Strip, which would be the Monte Carlo. Are there any other sections that don't have 3.5* hotels that i can add during free rebids..??I found Nellis and Summerlin don't have 3.5*+ hotels.Although Summerlin has the JW Marriott Resort which would be a 4* but the price is so high i doubt i would be getting it for under $100.If anyone has any tips for me i would really appreciate it..!! :) Karin
thereuare Posted June 22, 2009 Report Posted June 22, 2009 Note that when you select a star level on PRICELINE it is the minimum you are willing to accept, so while the Monte Carlo may be the only 3.5* reported to the board, it's possible that you could be upgraded to a higher rated hotel in this zone (such as the Westin, which is located slightly off-strip)At the 3.5* level in Vegas you have TWO re-bid zones. Please see Priceline Re-Bidding Explained for the way to determine your re-bid zones... you need to know how to determine these yourself since they can change at any time and should be checked before every bidding cycle. If you're confused by the explanation above or there is something you don't understand feel free to ask for help and/or questions and we'll break it down further for you OR confirm your re-bid zones wit the board before bidding again. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. tilepusher Posted June 23, 2009 Report Posted June 23, 2009 I found Nellis and Summerlin don't have 3.5*+ hotels.Although Summerlin has the JW Marriott Resort which would be a 4* but the price is so high i doubt i would be getting it for under $100.I've used zones as pseudo-rebid zones when I've been confident that I would not get a hotel in that zone for the price I was bidding. However, if you're going to do this, you have to research thoroughly first. There is, in fact, a 3.5* hotel in Summerlin -- the Suncoast Hotel and Casino -- that is frequently available for much less than $100/night.
