littledog1 Posted June 18, 2009 Report Posted June 18, 2009 my wife and i and our 13 year old daughter will be in chicago and need 4 star plus, hotel for nights of 6/29 thru 7/3 leaving 7/4. would like to be around shopping, museums etc. we will be on vacation. hotwire has 3 possibles: a 4*mag. mile streeterville for $87.00 ; a 4* -chicago loop for $82.00 and a 4.5* -mag mile streeterville for $119.00. I have always used price line but never hotwire. I have been happy with priceline's 4 star selections for the prices. ill pay the higher price if worth it. does anyone have any thoughts or ideas. any other website to check. thanks

littledog1 Posted June 18, 2009 Author Report Posted June 18, 2009 Welcome to the site. :)What are the amenities showing with the HOTWIRE listings you are seeing? All four have a fitness center , rest. , bus. ctr and high sp internet.the $89 mag mile also has a spa. the $82 loop has no spa but also has swimming pool.
AaronJB Posted June 18, 2009 Report Posted June 18, 2009 4* Mag Mile = likely Hyatt4.5* Mag Mile = likely Intercontinental4* Loop = Likely Palmer HouseAdditionally, the Hotel Sax is $111.30 on Expedia on sale for these dates, plus 10JUN is a coupon for an extra $10 off each night = $101.30. I'd rather take that for the extra $12 and change versus the potential Hyatt. Please use the site's HOTWIRE or Expedia.com links to start your purchase.
littledog1 Posted June 21, 2009 Author Report Posted June 21, 2009 hotwire 4.5* mag. mile streeterville - $ 94.00 (plus taxes) 6/28-7/03 (for 2 adults and 2 children) is the intercontental hotel on north michigan avenue.does anyone know anything about this hotel. i ve always used priceline and been happy with 4 star results. This is first time i've used hotwire.
