Hotwire Hotel: 4* Oahu (Waikiki Beach) Marriott Waikiki Beach Resort and Spa

Won the Marriott Waikiki Beach Resort and Spa at $116/night for one room from 8/9/09 to 8/13/09.

Searched for quad occupancy...two adults, two children (hoping for two beds).

First time going to Hawaii, and very excited for the trip!

Some questions for the board. This was my first time ever using the "two adults, two children" strategy. After winning this property, I called Marriott reservations to see what they had listed down for the "bed type" preference. However, the specialist told me that my reservation was not showing up in the system, and that it sometimes takes "weeks" for Hotwire to send over reservations. Is this true? Also, has anyone ever bid on "two adults, two children" and only received one bed? I apologize if my questions seem amateur-ish, I guess I'm just panicking a little bit since my reservation is no where to be found (for the moment) and I've never encountered this issue before. Any thoughts would be appreciated!

"Weeks" seems unusual to me - in my experience, I've never heard it taking more than days. If you designated 2 adults and 2 children, you should definitely get bedding for your whole party. If that is not the case upon arrival, call HOTWIRE (take a printout of the reservation, so if need be you can call.)

In the vast majority of cases your reservation shows up almost instantly, but there are a handful of properties which receive faxes and it may take a day for somebody to implement... i'd just call back tomorrow to see if it's there. If not, and your concerned, call HOTWIRE and let them know you called the hotel and they don't have your reservation, i'm sure they'll make a phone call and get it all straightened out.
