I am looking to book a 4* or Resort hotel from Feb 2-7 for $100 or less. We would like to stay on the WDW property so we can just take the shuttle to the theme parks since we don't plan on getting a rental car. Any recommendations? Thank you in advance.

Welcome to BetterBidding :)

Just to clarify. Using PRICELINE means that you have to accept any hotel in the * level you're bidding at in the shaded area/zone on the PRICELINE map. Can you please clarify what WDW property means for you?

HOTWIRE is a bit diffrent. If you're trying to target a specific property then HOTWIRE can often be a better option if you're successfully able to identify it based upon the star rating and amenities shown before your purchase.

Are you ready to lock a non refundable resarvation this far in advance?

This is my first time to WDW in 20 years. I am definately ready to purchase the hotel room since I already purchased the flights. I want to stay on the WDW property so we can walk to the shuttle which takes you to the theme parks. Also, we don't want to get a rental car.

For 2-7 Feb, what type of hotel is realistic for about $100 night?

As yellowdog posted above, you can't choose to bid on a hotel that is "on property"... you can receive a hotel anywhere within the shanded boundaries of the zone as defined by PRICELINE.

You could use HOTWIRE where you will be able to take an educated guess as to the property being offered based upon the amenities shown before your purchase, but with so many properties off-site and so few on-site, finding an offer that is on-site may be a difficult task (since HOTWIRE only shows one hotel at each star rating per zone)

If you want an onsite property you'll likely be better off paying the going rate and booking thru non-opaque means.

I checked Hotwire and this is what I got:

3-star hotel in Lake Buena Vista - Downtown Disney ($48)

Amenities: Fitness Center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Center, Laundry Facilities, High-speed Internet Access, Tennis Nearby, and Children's Activity Program.

Based on the * rating and amenities, I was able to narrow it down to one hotel but I was hoping you could assist and confirm it for me. Can you tell me which hotel you think it is?

Also, aside from the $48/night, what other fees (and how much) can I expect? i.e. Hotwire fees, sales tax, room tax, etc...

Thank you again.

Thanks but I ended up booking a government hotel on WDW. Even though it was expensive, the size of the room (sleeps six) and amenities were worth it the higher price.
