mskinner Posted June 20, 2009 Report Posted June 20, 2009 Just booked via Hotwire at $122 for 2 nights in July (9th - 11th) at the Hudson. I have never heard of the hotel so I don't know what to make of it. I will be in town on business and just need a clean place to sleep. Anyone have any reviews about this place? Not that there is anything I can do about it now.. I wish I would have found this board prior to my booking. I see how the amentities are used to figure out which hotel is being offered up.. awesome work. Any details on the Hudson would be much appreciated. My business is down in Times Square, am I too far away??Thanks!
AaronJB Posted June 20, 2009 Report Posted June 20, 2009 Welcome to the site. :)The Hudson is one of the Morgans Hotel Group boutique properties (see also: The Royalton in NYC, the Morgans in NYC and properties like the Mondrians in Los Angeles and Miami.) The Hudson does have small rooms, but visually sleek public spaces (see the photos on the hotel website) and is quite a "scene" (it could probably be described as a "scene with a hotel" instead of a "hotel with a scene") with occasional celeb sightings. Much like the W Hotels Chain, the Hudson is a "love it or hate it", but it's certainly a unique hotel in a great location. I don't think it's that far from TS, and if you just need a place to sleep it should certainly be fine.To confirm, what were the amenities showing with the HOTWIRE listing you purchased? thereuare Posted June 20, 2009 Report Posted June 20, 2009 The location should work out fine for your Times Square needs, depending exactly where it is that you need to be in Times Square... you're near 3 different subway lines (mostly likely you'll be taking the 1 train) or a short taxi ride (~$7) to Times Square.Can you please add a reply to this thread with the amenities shown before your purchase... you can still view this information by going to HOTWIRE and clicking the MY ACCOUNT link near the top right of their home page.Enjoy your stay.
