A friend just tried getting a 4* San Mateo room for 7/20 and was denied at $53 and then $60. :)

Is there any information on how the prices are affected at PRICELINE?

For example, do our successes drive the price up? Or, do "they" monitor boards like this and adjust?

The hotels set the prices, not PRICELINE.

I just got it for $61 from 7/14-7/18/09 (see my other SFO post for details) - locked in hotel rates change with days ...
