i too have booked the 4.5 star hotel in the convention center on 3 occasions and it has always been the Loews hote. Which, by the way, is a FABULOUS hotel. And it is nearly 1/2 off on HOTWIRE. I think if you get this as your option, you can be fairly sure that it will be the Loews Hotel. And you should definitely book it!!!
