Webwoman Posted June 8, 2009 Report Posted June 8, 2009 OK, I'm totally new at this - never used PRICELINE before. But I've read up on your site and I think I'm ready to bid. But I just wanted to confirm a few things first. I want to stay near Pike Place Market as this is all I want to do the day before my cruise ship leaves on 7/4. I should bid on this area and if I'm turned down, add another area that does not have a 4* (doesn't look like any other areas have a 4* so should be easy). I'm going to start bidding at $65 and inch up by $5 each bid. Hope I can win at $80 or less. Do I have to wait 24 hrs between bids if I don't win by adding another area? Can I just keep adding another area (keeping my 4* rating) until I win? Thanks for your help!
tilepusher Posted June 9, 2009 Report Posted June 9, 2009 I should bid on this area and if I'm turned down, add another area that does not have a 4* (doesn't look like any other areas have a 4* so should be easy).Be careful; there is another zone that offers 4* hotels. Make sure you understand the proper method for determining your rebid zones (it can be found here).Do I have to wait 24 hrs between bids if I don't win by adding another area? Can I just keep adding another area (keeping my 4* rating) until I win? Thanks for your help!As long has you have rebid zones left, you can bid again by adding one of them; you don't have to wait 24 hours. Please use the Priceline link on this site to start your bids.
inspiration100 Posted June 9, 2009 Report Posted June 9, 2009 Like tilepusher noted, Bellevue is a zone that has a couple 4* hotels. DO NOT use this as a rebid zone. You can keep adding areas and remain at 4*. You just need to add the rebid zone. The Seattle hotel guy.... Stayed in 14 hotels downtown and counting! Webwoman Posted June 16, 2009 Author Report Posted June 16, 2009 Bid up to $80 for a 4* on 6/11, gave up and started bidding for a 3.5* as follows:6/11 - bid $55 rejected6/12 - bid $65 rejected6/13 - bid $70 rejected6/14 - bid $75 rejected6/15 - bid $80 accepted!
