Priceline Hotel: Resort Ft Lauderdale (Beach) Marriott Harbor Beach

PRICELINE bid accepted of $97 for stay 08/22/09. Total price with tax $116.00. Had been searching for a 4-star hotel in the Ft. Lauderdale Beach area and was going to accept the 4-star currently listed on HOTWIRE (which I believe to be the former Sheraton/currently remodeled Westin ) but decided to see if I could get a 4-star on Priceline any cheaper. Started off bidding using only the Resort category and was going to work my way down. First bid was for $75.00. Priceline then countered, stating that normally I would be asked to either increase my bid or add a zone but to try adding $22.00 to price of bid. Since I was going to pay $91.00 for a 4-star on Hotwire, I figured $97.00 for a resort would be a great deal, and it was accepted! Very happy with this price, and of course you cant go wrong with the Marriott Beach Harbor. Beautiful resort. We are cruising the next day, and this hotel is only 1.5 miles away from harbor, so we are very pleased. Thanks for all the help. I have used this website for years now, having used both HOTWIRE and PRICELINE both in the past, and have never had problems with anything we have ever booked. Keep up the great work!! Crystal
