Flockster Posted June 13, 2009 Report Posted June 13, 2009 70 $, The Westgate Hotel, tried yesterday at 60 reject, waited 24 hrs 70$ immediate accept. It works for me, but just saw glenninflorida is trying to avoid it...so I'd like to know what's wrong with it.

terpfan1980 Posted June 17, 2009 Report Posted June 17, 2009 I'm looking around a bit at San Diego hotels (just researching for now) for 6/21 and 6/22 and saw this win. It made me somewhat hopeful until I saw the parking price for the hotel in the customer reviews. The win on the hotel price here looks very good (compared to the rack rates for the room), but if I'm adding in the price of parking, it would seem that other locations might be better for me, so off to check other threads and reviews (for now).

I had to go to SD for work, so I wasn't concerned with an amenities. It is sort of like stepping back in time to the Beau Arts age, so if your preference is for something akin to the W, then you're not going to dig it.I have a mid-July trip coming up, and I'd be totally psyched if I got the Westgate at the price *but* I can't risk it on PRICELINE, b/c I don't want to get stuck out by the airport (need to be downtown or gaslamp).O/H
