ktown
Hello Mr Wolverine, this is our first time on HOTWIRE.com, short trip to London with 4 kids + 2 adults, don't wish to make a disaster but cannot afford more than HOTWIRE prices. We have found a 3,5* hotel in London (Ealin-Hammersmith-Brentford) on Hotwire.com, $53.00 per night, the amenities listed are:Fitness CenterRestaurantHigh-speed Internet Access 4 out of 5 on tripadvisorLooking through your Hotwire hotel list, our best guess would have to be the "Holiday Inn Brentford Lock". Is there any chance that Hotwire would have another one under that price and data? What other risk could await us? Thank you very much Link to comment

ktown
Mr Wolverine, what do you know about possible Hotwire Hotel Refunds in the event that London would be elected to "Swine-flu-epidemic-region" and travel to and from would be discouraged and/or prohibited? Is there any form of refund in this case?Thank you for your time Link to comment
thereuare
I can't say for certain, but if there is an official 'warning' not to travel to London, on the part of either government, i would think you'd be able to work something out with HOTWIRE. ktown
Mr Wolverine, we need to report about the remarkably positive experience we have had with HOTWIRE.com service and their staff. We had planned to go to London in spite of swine-flu reports, after we had annoyed the hotwire.com staff trying to get out of the reservation. I must say that through all the annoyance, Hotwire.com staff had remained pleasantly and graciously helpful in understanding our concerns. Well, 24 hours before leaving, my wife became sick with the flu (no swine-flu). Ironically, without going to London. We had to cancel after all. Never for a second, we had hoped that Hotwire.com could help us any further, that's why we immediately contacted the insurance company trying to obtain at least a portion of the money back. The insurance was willing and ready to reimburse us as soon as we could prove that HOTWIRE.com had canceled the reservation and would not refund us.Well, as we contacted Hotwire.com, they asked us to submit via fax the medical report from the doctor, in German, without translating it, (we do live in Germany!) for them to review the matter.Within 48 hours they refunded us up to the last cent, without deductibles, the entire reservation hotel costs plus fees.Impressive. Amazing. I still get chocked up, just thinking about it. In the end, we regret that we cannot report on the hotel visit, and how beautiful it surely would have been spending the only 4 days of 2009 vacations in London. But we can definitely report on the goodness of the experience with HOTWIRE.com, the gracious support and expertise, the superb and kind staff. You can be assured that on our next travel enterprises, before any other company, we're going to book with HOTWIRE.com See you later Mr Wolverine, Thank you for this web-space Link to comment
